Nicky Glaser: Food for the Hungry

The Center for Community-Based Learning, Leadership and Research is putting on its 11th annual campus-wide food drive. The student organization is partnered with the Hunger Task Force in order to try and expand their donation options and outreach on-campus. On top of focusing on the food drive, the CCBLLR aims to connect the campus community with the Milwaukee community as a whole.

Although the CCBLLR is the primary organization involved with the planning and executing the food drive, Nicky said that it is the other campus organizations and faculty that chose to host a donation box that do the bulk of the work for them. The organizations that host boxes around campus often hold events, like bake sales and other events to drive visitors with donations to the boxes. Evan Vogel reports.
