The Protester Posted on July 23, 2011December 6, 2013 by Tess Gallun JAMS 532 is a long-form digital storytelling outlet for students in the journalism/documentary concentration. Students work on professional, nonfiction projects throughout the semester, learning skills documentary storytellers need to master. Topics are timely and socially relevant, benefiting the story’s subjects as well as the students’ portfolios. Past documentaries directed by Tess Gallun have aired on Milwaukee Public television, were supported by local nonprofits, and won top honors at professional and student film festivals.
