Since the first season, the “Stranger Things” series has followed the lives of its main characters Eleven, played by Millie Bobby Brown, Mike Wheeler, played by Finn Wolfhard, Will Byers, played by Noah Schnapp, Lucas Sinclair, played by Caleb McLaughlin and Dustin Henderson, played by Gaten Matarazzo, through various twists and turns.

Max Mayfield, played by Sadie Sink, became another core character in this group of friends during the second season.

Throughout this series, many fans have felt connected to the characters, as they have almost grown up with them. Fans have been anticipating the return of their favorite characters since the fourth season came out in 2022.

The fourth season had staggered release dates like the fifth season is set to have. It was released from May 27 to July 1, 2022.

The core characters were children when they were cast for the show and appeared in the first season. Bobby Brown was 12 years-old, Wolfhard was 13-years-old, Matarazzo was 14 years-old, McLaughlin was 14-years-old and Schnapp was 11-years-old. Now, as the series has wrapped up, they are all in their early 20’s.

The six main characters are not the only ones to be fighting Demogorgons, Demodogs, the Mind Flayer and Vecna throughout the first four seasons. They are joined by several other supporting characters.

Steve Harrington, played by Joe Kery, Nancy Wheeler, played by Natalia Dyer, Jim Hopper, played by David Harbour, Joyce Byers, played by Winona Ryder, Jonathan Byers, played by Charlie Heaton and Robin Buckley, played by Maya Hawke, are a few other characters that have been prominent throughout the series.

In the conclusion of the fourth season, the Hawkins crew fails to defeat the main villain of that season, Vecna. This results in the Upside Down leaking into the real world, generating a massive storm right in the center of Hawkins.

Vecna disappears back into the Upside Down due to severe injuries from the fight against Eleven.

Max is last seen lying in a hospital bed, unresponsive. Fans know that she is in a coma with broken bones and was left blind but wonder if she will survive her injuries.

Will, who had spent nearly the entirety of the first season in the Upside Down, feels a connection to Vecna. He can still feel his presence in Hawkins, foreshadowing what is to come in the final season.Fans are looking forward to the wrap-up on the Netflix Original Series that was first released in 2016 and excitedly await the fates of characters.
