What Makes “Shucked” a Good Show for Tour? With a fun story and Tony-Nominated creative team, who wouldn’t want to see this glittery cornfield musical about small town America? “Shucked” tells the story of Maizy, a young woman from small town America. When the corn crop fails, she dares to leave her sheltered life and seek help from the outside world. “Shucked” is praised to be “charmingly corny” According to Variety, “Shucked” is known for its comedy and being full of laughs, great music, and lots of corn. This musical has been booming on Broadway and the executive are excited to bring it all across America to cities that reflect the small town in the show. Shows like “Shucked” are surprisingly popular and have done super well in the post-pandemic season. Touring shows give audiences an opportunity to see Broadway level shows in their own backyard, rather than having to travel all the way to New York City.
