This is the “Habits (Stay High)” singer’s first album as an independent artist, according to Consequence Sound.

Fans and critics alike have had positive reactions to the body of work. DIY Mag gave the album 4.5/5 stars. On top of “Tove Lo” trending on Twitter for three consecutive days, there have been a handful of viral tweets regarding the new music.

One example is by Twitter user @gofinurself, who tweeted, “Tove Lo shopping at the bad songs store: #DirtFemme,” alongside a cheeky meme video.

While Tove Lo has not reacted publicly to the memes, she did release a statement on her social media platforms regarding the response to the album.

“Lastly none of this would be possible without YOU,” Tove Lo said in her statement. “You holding this record. You who support me by listening to my words and melodies, coming to my show, giving me life. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

Following the release of the album, Tove Lo used TikTok in order to build hype for the track “2 Die 4”. There were many viral moments using the song, as the singer responded to fan videos, including Pop Star Kim Petras and Paul Butcher from Nickelodeon’s Zoey 101.

Most notably, Tove Lo has been going viral on TikTok for the pronunciation of her name. Many users have realized that they have been saying her name wrong after her appearance as a guest judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race.
