Trevor from ‘Love is Blind’ Confirms He Was Involved with a Woman Outside the Pods

The reunion for season six of Love is Blind aired Wednesday, and fans have been buzzing about the eight minutes when Trevor Sova was grilled on an unresolved scandal. Sova confirmed that romantic screenshots between himself and another woman, which were sent moments before and after filming, were real.  

The Text Messages  

On Feb. 22^nd, 2024, before the reunion but after the original episodes, an Instagram account named therealityashley posted screenshots of an alleged conversation between Sova and Natalia Marrero, a North Carolina-based bodybuilder, according to TV Insiderand Betches. The text exchange between the two include: 

“I love you so much honey. I’m excited for it but more excited to get back to you after and start our life together,” from Sova.   

He also stated that he did not plan on getting married to anyone in the pods and told Marrero he loved her and was going to marry her.  

The Reunion’s Response 

Sova made his entrance onto the reunion set and was immediately questioned about the text messages by the hosts, Nick and Vanessa Lachey, excerpts of which were read aloud. Flustered, he stumbled over his words for a few moments and then said: 

“I guess I’ll start by saying that I was not dating her, dating her (he repeated with air quotes), technically, like I never said will you be my girlfriend before the show started,”. 

He explained that he wanted to meet somebody that he would not typically date in life outside of the pods, and that Marrero knew he was participating in the experience.   

Nick pressed Sova on how unfair it was to the other participants, specifically Chelsea Blackwell, Sova’s most serious dating partner from inside the pods.  

Sova responded by emphasizing how toxic the relationship between him and Marrero was. Vanessa asked Blackwell if she wanted to say anything, to which Blackwell responded: 

“I definitely am not here to grill you by any means… I had just this intuition of why I shouldn’t have picked you. I couldn’t explain it, and now I can,”.  

Brittany, another participant in this season, spoke up and emphasized how she found it disrespectful to the people who came into the experience with the right intentions, and that she found it concerning that Marrero was okay with Sova participating in the experiment.  

Blackwell questioned Sova on what would have happened if Blackwell had chosen him as her partner to leave the pods with.  

“I told her that upfront. You and I (he and Marrero) are toxic together. If I meet someone in here then I’m staying with someone in here,” said Sova.  

In response to questioning about why he told Marrero he was going to marry her shortly after leaving the pods, he said he had been an emotional wreck. Johnny McIntyre, another season six participant, confirmed that Sova’s mental state was “really bad”.  

An Early Exit  

Amy Cortés-McIntyre, Johnny’s wife, questioned Sova’s motives and whether he was upset about leaving Blackwell or about leaving the show. Sova said he did not care about leaving the show and asked: 

“Can I, like, just leave right now?”.  

Nick said Sova could leave, but before he could, Brittany Mills, a Love is Blind participant, emphasized how unfair his actions were to Blackwell.  

“I did come here for good and bad reasons. I can’t take back that I went on the show. I’m glad I went on the show ‘cause it taught me a lot about myself,” Sova responded.  

In response to comments mentioning Blackwell, he said: 

“I was myself in those pods…Any clarity you need off camera I will give to you…You’re the only person I owe any response to,”.  

Blackwell expressed her appreciation for his response.  

Nick then gave a short speech about how Love is Blind is a “once-in-a-lifetime opportunity”, that he and Vanessa did not want people on the show that are motivated by fame and: 

“For people who come here with ulterior motives we’ve got to call you out for it,”.  

He then told Sova he could leave, and Sova immediately walked off stage.  

Post-Reunion Response 

Bella Martinez, an avid watcher of Love is Blind said: 

“He’s (Sova) a twerp and fake, like, why would he be talking to someone while signing up for the show,”. 

According to an online article posted by People, Vanessa believes Sova did not understand the implications of his actions and the seriousness of participating in the show.
