Aaron Rodgers Trade Debated Posted on May 10, 2023May 10, 2023 by Troy Johnson It’s been up in the air as to Aaron Rodgers possibly wanting to play for a different team other than the Green Bay Packers. As of late, various teams who need a quarterback have filled their quarterback position, except for the New York Jets who have made it clear that they are looking for an MVP quarterback like Rodgers. Rodgers’ trade has been the most frequent search on google. According to Yahoo, the New York Jets are making it clear to the NFL Media that they want an MVP quarterback like Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers went into a darkness retreat, which is a place where people go for a significant amount of time to de-stress and basically sit in the dark, and Rodgers did it for about two-three weeks to determine if he was going to be playing again either with the Green Bay Packers or with a different team such as the New York Jets, or even retire as a Green Bay Packer player. According to ESPN, Rodgers has since come out of his darkness retreat and has made it clear on the Pat McAfee show that he has decided to play again this season however he intends to play for the New York Jets, which sparked a lot of emotions from both the New York Jets fanbase and the Green Bay Packers fanbase Since then, Rodgers remains a Green Bay Packer, but being that the Jets are so interested in acquiring Rodgers they have even considered his list of current Packer players. According to ESPN’s Dianna Russini, such as Allen Lazard, Randall Cobb, Mercedes Lewis, and another NFL player named Odell Beckham Jr. This is a Picture of Aaron Rodgers throwing to one of his Receivers and the picture is from Wikimedia Commons. “I definitely think it’s going to benefit both sides cause if Rodgers is retired then the Packers would have got nothing for him,” said Grieb. “At least this way Packers get some draft picks hopefully and maybe even some money for him.” They took his requests into account right away as they even went out and signed Former Packers Wide Receiver Allen Lazard the day right after he asked them to. Packers’ fans find this to be such an interesting storyline because Rodgers has a history of doing this to the Packers and the Packers have agreed that it is most definitely time to move on and move into the Jordan Love Era at the quarterback position for the Packers. “I definitely saw it coming with everything that has happened in the past years with Rodgers, always doing this kind of a hold out kind of thing in the off-season, and I’m not really mad at him or nothing,” says Packers Fan Chris Grieb. “He gave us a lot of good years, but I am sure we’ll miss him in Green Bay.” Grieb is a Packers fan, and he is ready for a change at the Quarterback position and said he wishes nothing but the best for Aaron Rodgers. The whole hold up is regarding the compensation for Rodgers as the Packers know that he is worth very good money and so they don’t want to just jump right into anything because they know what he is worth and so they want to play it safe and take it possibly as slow as they can. “I think it’s definitely time for Jordan Love, because we’ve had him on the bench for so long and were paying him a decent amount of money and his contracts even going up and so I definitely think it’s time to give him a shot,” said Grieb. I asked fans if this is going to be a thing just to get the media all hyped up or if this is the last straw for both sides. “I think they are going to trade Rodgers this time, with him going on that Pat McAfee show and him saying he intends to play for the Jets, I think there’s no way that he doesn’t get traded at this point,” said Grieb.
