JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A video of Jacksonville Jaguars coach Urban Meyer surfaced Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021, showing Meyer sitting in Urban’s Chophouse a restaurant in Columbus, Ohio with a woman.

The coach has become a trending topic on Twitter and other platforms after the video went viral.

The woman in the video, who was not his wife, was seen dancing on Meyer`s lap, while Meyer’s hand is between the two. Meyer can be seen wearing an Ohio State sweatshirt with white shorts.

“Is this why Urban Meyer is trending?” said CheifSVP on Twitter.

Meyer addressed the situation to the organization and apologized in a Monday press conference.

He said he apologized to his family.

“Of course, I did. That’s not me. Oh yeah, they were upset,” said Meyer.

Shelley Meyer, the wife of Urban, wrote on Twitter and posted pictures of her babysitting while Urban was in Ohio.

“Meanwhile, I am babysitting,” said Shelly on Twitter. She ended the tweet with hashtags “MyChoice” “MimiRules” “BuddyDeservedANightOut”.

A second video surfaced Monday, Oct. 4, showing Meyer touching the woman’s backside at the restaurant in Ohio. Shad Khan, the owner of the Jacksonville Jaguars said Meyer’s actions were inexcusable.

“I appreciate Urban’s remorse, which I believe is sincere.”

Meyer did not accompany his team back to Jacksonville after a 21-24 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday, Sep. 30.

“I stayed to see the grandkids and we all went to dinner that night at a restaurant,” said Meyer. “There was a big group next to us and they all wanted to take pictures and they wanted to pull me out on the dance floor screwing around but I should’ve left.”

Shelley Meyer wrote on the subject on Twitter Thursday afternoon, after the 2nd video surfaced.

“We all make mistakes- we are all sinners. If you think you aren’t? then cast the stone. My wonderful followers/friends: THANK YOU,” said Shelly on Twitter. “For your love, support, friendship, laughs- I will miss this the most. I love you ALL and wish God’s blessings on you.”

Shelley later deleted her Twitter account.
