Decorations are going up, stores are getting busier and gift shopping has begun. With the countdown till Christmas underway, the Hallmark Channel is celebrating its 10th Anniversary with a countdown to Christmas with 24 new premieres playing throughout the holiday season. Year after year, Hallmark delivers with their cheesy storylines that we all love as Hallmark Christmas Movies, is it safe to say that Hallmark will do it again? Here are my top 6 Hallmark Christmas movie recommendations to put you in the holiday spirit. 6. Christmas In Rome (Saturday, November 30th) Lacey Chabert and Sam Page are back for another holiday movie, which happens to be her eighth Hallmark Christmas movie. In this film, Lacey plays Angela, an American tourist who gets fired from her job right before Christmas. Angela crossed paths in Rome and is hired to be a personal tour guide by a tourist named Oliver, played by Sam Page. Oliver is in Rome to buy a ceramics company that the owner will not sell to him until he learns more about Rome. The ending can be assumed, but this film is a heartfelt classic with two great actors making it a must-see! Write Before Christmas (Sunday, November 17th) Hallmark star, Torrey DeVitto and Chad Michael Murray join to star in this whimsical Christmas movie. Torrey plays Jessica, a woman who happens to be dumped right before Christmas. In hopes to turn her life around, Jessica sends 5 Christmas cards to the most impactful people in her life. One letter goes to her aunt, another to her younger brother that is in the military, a pop star Jax and a music teacher that inspired her. The film follows the separate stories of each of the people that received a letter from Jessica. If all you want for Christmas is a film starring Chad Michael Murray as a charming and handsome guy, then this one’s for you. But when she has a small detour and ends up in a small charming town, she meets a few locals. There, she is reminded of the real reason for the holiday season and lifts her Christmas spirit. Throughout the movie, Emma looks for a Christmas miracle with the help from her son and her new romance. This movie is warm and realistic. The perfect comforting film to curl up to during the holidays. 2. Picture a Perfect Christmas (Saturday, November 9th) In this holiday film, a beautiful young sports photographer travels home to take care of her grandma. While she is there, she meets a man that is in desperate need of someone to take care of his nephew. This movie takes place during Christmas time and really puts a spotlight on giving a helping hand during this time of year. This film tugs on heartstrings and will make one feel grateful for their family during the holidays. Hallmark Christmas movies continue to dominate during the holiday season. This time of year, people need to feel good and be positive and these movies with making you feel that way and more. The movies have a wide range of audiences, so you are never too young or too old to indulge in the cheesy stories.
