Ivana Ortiz Accused Of Shooting At Rihanna’s Beverly Hills Home

Los Angeles Police have identified the woman who they say fired multiple shots at pop star Rihanna’s Beverly Hills-area home as 35-year-old Ivana Lisette Ortiz, according to NBC News

The LAPD told NBC News that the shooting took place around 1:15 p.m. Sunday, March 8. 

The singer was home at the time of the incident, but no injuries have been reported, and sources are unsure whether or not the superstar’s family was present during the shooting, according to TMZ

According to CBS News, Ortiz has been booked on accusations of attempted murder, and her bail currently stands at $10.225 million. 

Currently, authorities are investigating Ortiz’s alleged motive. Further information will be released sometime Monday regarding future charges and her possible release. 

According to the LAPD, Ortiz allegedly fired several gunshots at the singer’s home before speeding away in her car. Authorities found her vehicle about eight miles from the superstar’s home, at the Sherman Oaks Galeria shopping mall, where she was taken into custody, according to CBS News

Armen Arias, a spokesperson for the LAPD told the Los Angeles Times the police “pulled the suspect over and took her into custody, they searched the vehicle and located an assault rifle and seven casings” 

Arias also told the Los Angeles Times that multiple bullet holes were found at the gate of Rhianna’s home. 

According to NBC 4 Los Angeles authorities described Ortiz’s weapon as an AR-15-style rifle.
