The employee being tested came into contact with someone who recently traveled to a third world country. It’s not yet clear whether the employee actually has coronavirus. Chancellor Mark Mone. Many students who recently returned from university abroad programs have disclosed self-quarantine. “We are taking the cautionary tone here, and we are doing anything we think is the right thing,” said Mone. “This particular case makes us active to go even further in caution to provide the safest environment for our students and staff.” Out of necessary precautions, Chancellor Mone strongly discouraged travel outside of Wisconsin. UWM Cambridge Commons Restore and Foundation Office closed this morning. Further details about residence halls are being established but they remain open currently. Updates with information about the change to online classes will be announced in the upcoming weeks.
