Visit their cultural village, attend Mass or shop the marketplace. 3. Summerfest – June 26-July 7 (not open July 1) The worlds largest music festival needs no introduction. With the music lineup being announced early last week, the hype is high. For over 50 years, people have traveled from different states to Milwaukee just to attend Summerfest – an icon of our city. JULY 1. Festa Italiana – July 19-21 Apply to be the next Italian Idol, watch the Flag Throwers, ride a Gondola, watch a cannoli eating contest or enter your child in the kids pizza making competition. Festa Italiana is fun for the whole family! 2. German Fest – July 26-28 A Milwaukee tradition and one of the largest German Festivals in North America. Wisconsin State Fair – August 1-11 What’s better than emerging yourself in the heart of Wisconsin tradition, with horses and cows to bunnies and chickens, we are an agricultural state. Beside enjoying the animals, the Wisconsin State Fair showcases Wisconsin grown and made products, highlights our pride in being the Dairy state, specializes in deep frying foods, and for the adventurers, the park displays a very wild amusement park. 2. Irish Fest – August 15-18 Experience Celtic music and culture at the worlds largest Irish Celebration. Visit the Heroes Hut, the Celtic Kitchen, enjoy family activities and shopping, and for the adults, make a stop at the Jameson Whiskey Tastings – well worth it!. 3. Mexican Fiesta – August 23-25 Partake in the all-you-can-eat taco dinner, golf for scholarships, tequila tasting, as well as the Fiesta run and walk. Embrace the culture of Mexico, relish in the food and drink, and enjoy the camaraderie of great company.
