Selena, who recently split with The Weekend, underwent a kidney transplant for her Lupus. She revealed the diagnosed during a Billboard Magazine Interview in 2015. The autoimmune disease almost took control of her life as the side effects interfered with her career causing her to cancel her Revival World Tour as mentioned on People.com. This past September, her friend, Francia Raísa, offered to get tested and was a match.

“She lived with me in this interesting time where my kidney were just done,” Selena said in a Today Show interview.

But Bieber’s support is nowhere to be found. Where was he when Selena was undergoing the transplant? Not only did it seem like ghosted on her, Justin Bieber’s bad behavior led him to have quite a list of run-ins with the law. The Huffingtonpost’s arrest timeline listed a search warrant, assaults, and reckless driving. Maybe his bad ways were just a phase, but his maturity will take some time to evolve. Selena deserves someone better, someone, who is grounded and is there for her.

As many die-hard fans of Jelena are happy to see them reunite, let’s be logical here. Even though Hollywood Life reported that a source said Bieber did not know about the surgery and was supportive during her Lupus struggle. That’s fine. Okay. Whatever, but still. Seeing them together is just a façade. They look good together, but no woman or man should waste time on someone who is not going to go beyond to make their life worth living and be there at their darkest moments.

If that boy did not even bother to offer his kidneys, don’t even run back to him, girl. But like Selena sings “The Heart Want What It Wants.”
