Trump’s Wrestling Tweet Reminds Us: This Is Not Normal Posted on October 22, 2017October 22, 2017 by Annalese Gerber If you’re like the rest of us, you probably woke up to Trump’s tweet of him at a wrestling match attacking a CNN logo and told yourself like you do everyday, “I can’t take this sh*t anymore. Is this real life? Is this really our President?” Well folks, yes it is, and yes he is. And no, he did not stop at one tweet. When Trump tweets out things like this, he’s portraying to the whole United States that his ego is more important than tackling actual issues in which we are facing as a country. An attack on the media is an attack on free speech. Let’s talk about this ‘attack’ on media. If conservatives claim that a production of Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar portraying Trump as Caesar incites violence but praises this video, it’s hypocritical. Trump, as a leader of the United States, is inciting violence against the media by tweeting out this video. In his follow up video he claims, “the people know the truth.” Yes, we know the truth and we will continue to use it against him. As an added cherry on top of him trying to build up his own ego, he tweeted out, “Stock Market at all time high, unemployment at lowest level in years (wages will start going up) and our base has never been stronger!” Are we all supposed to equate this to his past sixth months or wake up and realize that he is trying to take credit for all of the hard work Obama did in his past two terms? We can’t forget that 500,000 of the latest added healthcare jobs were a result of Obamacare. One last reminder—THIS IS NOT NORMAL.
