The Bucks Dismantle the Celtics in Five Games Posted on May 14, 2019May 14, 2019 by Bradley Hanney After dropping Game 1 in the East Semis, the Bucks bounced back like we knew they were capable of, as they went on to win the next four straight and advance to the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time in nearly two decades. The Milwaukee Bucks finished off a beat Boston Celtics squad in series-clinching fashion with a 116-91 victory in Game 5. After winning their first playoff series since 2001, the Bucks finally got over that hurdle of the Boston Celtics, the team that supposedly had more talent and more star-power. However, it turns out the Bucks were just simply better. They have been all year long, and there was zero indication we would see a different team. Despite the minor speed bump in Game 1 where it felt like the Bucks were eventually due for just one loss in the 2019 playoffs, Milwaukee has been dominant thus far, currently standing 8-1 in the playoffs. It seems as if the Bucks are still not getting enough credit for destroying Boston in all phases of the game all series long, as Kyrie’s awful overall performance and numbers in the series dominated the headlines. However, it was the Bucks that got the last laugh this year, as they sent Boston home packing and in complete disarray heading into their offseason. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8vuFJCkxvc Milwaukee’s bench played a pivotal role in the Bucks taking both games on the road in Boston. With vets like G-Hill now leading the bench mob, the league is now seeing why the Bucks have had the deepest bench and the most depth all year long. After breezing past the Celtics in five games, Milwaukee now sets their sights on the much bigger picture, to the ECF and the Toronto Raptors. Sure, Kawhi Leonard is cold-blooded, clutch, and an absolute “Dog!” (Stephen A. voice), but Milwaukee was 3-1 against the Raptors in the regular season. The Bucks look forward to continuing their dominance and momentum in the ECF, as they will have homecourt against the Raptors, with just four more wins to-go and a trip to the Finals.
