PlayStation 5 Pre-release Is Causing a Buzz in the Gaming Community

San Mateo, Calif. – On Sept. 17, on a warm Saturday night, Devon Brown found himself staring at the PlayStation page in disbelief.

Brown had rushed home from his 8-hour shift to purchase the PlayStation 5, only to encounter a grayed sold-out sign on all of the retail stores.

“I feel like I underestimated how many people were going to buy the PS5,” said Brown. “It is a better game console, and I barely made the PS4 pre-release.”

To show that PS4 is the old and PS5 is the new.

The PS5 sold out of its pre-released consoles on the first day of sales. The demand for the game system was so high that Sony decided to have a second day for the fans who did not get a chance to get the game system the last time around.

“Yea I was there for both sales, and I was not able to get a look at the payment screen,” said Donald Mack, a PS4 player. “I don’t think I’ll get a chance to get a pre-release. so, I’ll just wait until the release date.”

Playstation Twitter posts have been blowing up with fans looking for another pre-sale date. Sony continues to ignore the tweets in favor of promotional posts about the game system and future games to be released.

“I’m not going to lie and tell you that I didn’t post under their Twitter post after the first pre-release,” said Brown. “They did create another pre-release, so maybe people are thinking they will do it again.”

Mack says that it is unreal to think that a company will do a pre-release a third time because they will not have anyone to sell to on the release date. He hopes that the PS5 lives up to the hype that Sony has set up for it.

“Experience lightning-fast loading with an ultra-high-speed SSD, deeper immersion with support for haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, and 3D Audio and an all-new generation of incredible PlayStation® games,” said Sony Interactive Entertainment Inc on the PS5 launch page.

With a sleeker look and a game system that claims ‘Play Has No Limits’ PlayStation fans like Brown are looking forward to the PS5 performance. PlayStation has been teasing fans with previews of next-generation user experiences that have gotten people ready for the release on Nov. 12.

According to the PlayStation 5 website, the PS5 will display stunning graphics that are better than the last console. The addition of HDR technology, Ray tracing, and a smooth high frame rate will give games a more vibrant and life-like look.

The PS5 pre-release created a substantial amount of buzz for them, but their competitor Xbox Series X is getting some buzz in the gaming community as well. Unlike the PlayStation 5 the Xbox Series x is not holding a pre-release, but they will be releasing their gaming console on Nov. 10.
