“We’re not downtown people, but we watch it on TV and we really just wanted to see the arena.”

Patrice Demeyer, a stay-at-home mother who came with her husband to tour the Fiserv Forum during Doors Open Milwaukee. The family loves to watch the Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks Bobby Portis.

Troy Johnson: Why did you take the time to come here today?

Patrice Demeyer: My husband likes sports, and we don’t really, we’re not downtown people, and we don’t want to do the traffic and the parking, but we watch it on TV and we really just wanted to see the arena and so we like to see the buildings and see what they look like.

Question: What did you learn that you didn’t know before coming here today?

Answer: That the Marquette locker room is small, and I just thought that it would be a big locker for such big guys.

Question: Do You feel like you know Milwaukee?

Answer: Yeah it depends I feel like we knew it better when we were younger. Streets change, restaurants change everything is in a constant flux and that’s just how life is, everything changes.

Question: Are you glad you came out to this event?

Answer: Yes, yes, we wanted to see it.

Question: Are you guys going to anymore?

Answer: Yes, we are going to go to Turner Hall, we already paid for our parking, so we are trying to make use of our time.

Question: Are you guys big sports fans?

Answer: My husband very much is so. He likes his Packers, his baseball, the Brewers, and I watch it with him and ask him a lot of questions.

Question: Were you guys down here for the Bucks watch party?

Answer: No, too much crowd and too much parking problems. It’s not easy to come down here and we wish they built the arena where there was better parking, and it just takes too long to get home.

Question: Have you attended any games at the Fiserv Forum?

Answer: No, we have not, we attended more events at the old arena, the BMO Harris Bradley Center.

Question: Would you say the arena is a much bigger facility then the BMO Harris Bradley Center?

Answer: It seemed like it when we were younger, but there is less seats in the Fiserv Forum as the tour guide said up there and it seems liked more open space. But as the guy said there is more seats on the lower tier than there are on the upper tier as opposed to the BMO Harris Bradley Center, where there were more seats on the upper tier and less on the bottom.
