“It’s either a psycho or a normal woman. I’m going to go with normal woman.”

Gabrielle Davis.

Gabrielle Davis, 23, is a fourth-year marketing major at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Aware of the tension of this election, Davis says that the vote shouldn’t be a difficult decision for many people. Decided on her presidential pick, she’s frustrated by constant advocacy for the candidates.

Natalie Chudzik: How do you feel about the election in general?

Gabrielle Davis: It’s annoying, because it’s not a big deal. Well, it is a big deal, but people putting signs up in their yard isn’t gonna change someone’s vote. I just don’t think that it needs to be advocated that much from one individual. What makes you different from me? You know?

Natalie Chudzik: What do you mean by what makes you different from me?

Gabrielle Davis: The supporters are making a big deal. I just think it’s annoying. Like no one cares who you vote for, just shut up and vote.

Natalie Chudzik: Do you feel that whoever’s chosen for President will directly impact you?

Gabrielle Davis: : I feel like if Kamala gets voted President, my life will be better and I feel like if Trump gets voted President, my life would be shit.

Natalie Chudzik: If your life would be shit and you feel like Kamala would be a better fit, what makes you not want to advocate for that?

Gabrielle Davis: : Because who am I to tell someone else what to do with their life? I can’t change someone else’s point of view.

Natalie Chudzik: How did you choose who you want for president?

Gabrielle Davis: : It’s either a psycho or a normal woman. I’m going to go with normal woman. One is putting laws on the human body, and one isn’t.

Natalie Chudzik: What other thoughts do you have about the election right now?

Gabrielle Davis: : I can’t wait for it to be done, because it’s annoying.

Natalie Chudzik: How would you know who you’re going to vote for if everyone weren’t talking about the election?

Gabrielle Davis: I don’t care about what the big people are doing, it’s how excessive people are, like the trumpets.

Natalie Chudzik: Well, how would you hear about what the “big people” are doing without their supporters?

Gabrielle Davis: The news or TikTok. Either the news, or people who watch the news and then explain it to me.

Natalie Chudzik: How do you make your impression of who you want to vote for after seeing the news?

Gabrielle Davis: I don’t even understand how there’s even a debate. I don’t even understand how Donald Trump is still in the presidential election. I don’t even understand how he is an option. If you’re not voting for Kamala, you’re literally stupid. I’m concerned about your morals. How do you compare? Donald Trump is sitting here putting laws on females, taking away gay marriage and kicking out Mexican people. Why on Earth would I ever vote for him? There shouldn’t even be an election. It should just be Kamala.
