5 Tips That Will Help Get Your Life In Order Posted on December 4, 2019December 4, 2019 by Kaitlyn Wolfe Do you dread the start of a new week? The looming presence of a million tasks that fill up space on your mental checklist. Well, quit your stressing and take a seat… welcome to productivity 101. 1. Get Up And Get Active Kaitlyn Wolfe / Via Wolfe, Kaitlyn. Walks with Max. 2018. Photograph. Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It’s 7 AM and you just finished shoving your phone under the pillow as the alarm continues to remind you that it’s Monday. Believe me, I know every ounce of your body wants to stay curled under blankets until you manage to fill your bloodstream with caffeine. BUT tip number one is all about getting up and getting out there. Whether it’s taking your dog for a walk, going for a quick run, stretching, or doing a 30-minute workout video on YouTube, anything to get the blood flowing is going to make you feel like you can conquer the world. Dramatic? I don’t think so. Physical activity is the key here and no one said dancing around your room was against the rules… 2. Make Your Bed… Go On… Do It Piqsel / Via piqsels.com I know what you’re thinking… isn’t it pointless to make the same bed you’re going to be falling right back asleep in? But no, you’d be surprised what a made bed can do to your productive soul. Keeping your bed clean reflects a clean state of mind. In a few simple steps you can create an organized space that has you ready to tackle the day! Before you call me crazy just try it… I will gladly accept the “thank you” later. 3. Write Everything Down Cathryn Lavery / Via unsplash.com Okay, you need a pen in hand for this one… you ready? Start writing out what you have to get done for the day and suddenly lists will become your best friend. I think it’s safe to say we all fall victim to the jumbled mess of assignments, appointments, and mundane tasks racing through out minds each morning. By implementing this simple step into your morning routine, you will find yourself in control of where the day takes you. Who knows… writing could become your new favorite hobby! 4. Treat Yourself To “Me Time” Slora Photography / Via unsplash.com Yes, you read that correctly. Go spend some time on YOURSELF. Have a face mask you’ve been dying to try? Go put it on. That new book sitting on your shelf? Go read it. Have a coffee shop you’ve been meaning to try? Grab your squad and get lost. Unplugging and recharging is the dynamic duo you never knew you needed… until now. Never feel guilty about bringing your mind and body some clarity because nothing says productive like a fresh perspective. 5. Plan Outfits Ahead of Time Amanda Vick / Via unsplash.com I can’t begin to tell you how many times I’ve been late to work or felt rushed because my wardrobe for the day was as unorganized as me. The solution? PLAN PLAN PLAN. Take time on a Sunday to create outfits for every day of the week and not only will you be channeling your inner stylist, you’ll be managing your time more wisely. Get creative! Mix and match new pieces or be bold with your choices. Or rock sweatpants and an over-sized tee (been there, done that). If you’re gonna be productive you might as well do it in style.
